1. Headhunter Farming – How to get it

HeadhunterHeadhunter Leather Belt was exclusive to the Nemesis league. For farming Headhunter by slain monsters, using Orb of ChanceOrb of Chance for chancing, or applying Ancient OrbAncient Orb to reforge unique belt, you must stand in a map with the Nemesis modifier. You can craft a map with a Nemesis modifier at the Zana’s map device or buy these maps from other players.

Headhunter never drops within Delve, or within a Heist.

PoE 3.14 has made a lot of changes to Path of Exile's reward systems. It has added a bunch of very powerful and valuable league-specific uniques(including HeadhunterHeadhunter) into the core drop pool. This means they can drop from any sufficiently high-level monster, without you having to engage with specialised content. The goal with all of these changes is to make sure that every monster you kill in Path of Exile has a chance to drop something incredibly valuable, regardless of what content you're playing.

1.1 Running any map with the Nemesis mod active

Headhunter is a Nemesis league-specific item. It can only be dropped in the maps with a Nemesis mod. The drop level is 40 and the drop chance is rare. It is one of the most expensive belts in the Path of Exile. You can search these maps from PoE Trade.

1.3 Using Orb of Chance to chance a Headhunter

  • Chancing location: a map with Nemesis mods.
  • You can use 5,000+ Orb of Chance, 5,000 + Orb of Scouring, 1 normal Leather Belt. Use Orb of Chance to chance the Leather Belt, if not get your desired item, using Orb of Scouring on it to become a normal Leather Belt. Do it again and again.

Orb of ChanceOrb of Chance has the opportunity to upgrade a normal item to a random rarity. You have the chance to upgrade a normal item of Leather Belt to a unique item of HeadhunterHeadhunter. It can be obtained with an Orb of ChanceOrb of Chance only while standing in a map to which Nemesis’s mod has been added with the Map Device. Depending on the item, this can be one of the most profitable ways to use Orbs of Chance Orbs of Chance since they can be used to obtain items that are nearly unobtainable otherwise.

1.4 Using Ancient Orb to reforge a unique belt

  • Location: a map with Nemesis mods.
  • Items: 500+ Ancient OrbAncient Orb, 10+ diffderent unique belt(It does not have any item level requirement).

Ancient OrbAncient Orb is a currency item that can be used to reforge a unique item as another of the same item class in the broader sense of the term.

1.5 Applying Beastcrafting to create a unique belt

Beastcrafting is a method of crafting by sacrificing beasts to the blood altar in the Menagerie. By using the Beastcrafting recipes, you have the chance to craft a unique Headhunter.

  • Location: The Menagerie
  • Primary Component: Farric Ape
  • Beast Recipe: Craft a unique belt.

Time-Lost IncubatorTime-Lost Incubator is an incubator and can drop valuable Unique Item. You have the chace to obtain a HeadhunterHeadhunter.

1.7 Cadiro Perandus

Cadiro Perandus can offer a HeadhunterHeadhunter unique item in exchange for 16601-27928 Perandus Coins.

A Perandus CoinPerandus Coin is a currency item that can be used to trade for items offered by Cadiro Perandus. They were exclusive to the Perandus leagues. Now one can obtain and/or spend it only in maps opened with Perandus mod of Zana’s map device.

1.8 Exchange PoE Currency for it

The price of Headhunter is about 45 Exalted Orbs.

1.9 Purchase from Sellers

You may buy it from the following seller with an awesome price as well.

2. PoE Headhunter Item Level

Every item in Path of Exile has an item level. To find the item level of an item, hold down the ALT key while hovering the cursor over the item or hold down the left stick (L3) on a XB1 or PS4. The item level will be shown above the level requirements in the item description.

CategoryHeadhunter Item Level

1. Drop Item Level

The drop level of Headhunter is 40. It can be only dropped from a map with the "Nemesis" modifier. Normal monsters drop items with a level equal to the monster level of the area. Magic monsters drop items with monster level +1. Rare and Unique Monsters drop items with monster level +2.

2. Orb of Chance Item Level

For chancing(Orb of ChanceOrb of Chance) a Headhunter, there is no minimum item level requirement. The item level does not affect the possible unique items that can spawn when using an Orb of Chance on an item. The base type of Headhunter is Leather Belt. You must chance a normal Leather Belt while standing in a map with Nemesis modifier(You can craft it at Zana's Map Device or buy maps with Nemesis mods from other players).

3. Ancient Orb Headhunter Item Level

Ancient Orb ignores item level of the original item. A unique item that have a low ilvl, can be flipped to item that have higher required level to equip or on a base that have a higher drop level. using low ilvl unique belt may not be able to block the chance of getting high level unique belt when using Ancient Orb to try to get the Headhunter.

4. Beastcrafting Item Level

For Beastcrafting, the resulting item level is equal to the level of the main beast sacrificed. Create a Unique(Belt): 1x level 0+ Farric Ape.

Introduction

Headhunter Headhunter. The very name conjures mythic superstition and awe within Path of Exile. Players thirst after this item like no other. Owning one is the end goal of many, though few attain it. In Path of Exile, this item is considered the holy grail.

Corrupting a Headhunter

Not every new player understands the fabled power of this item. So what is Headhunter Headhunter, exactly?

The Headhunter Headhunter Leather Belt is an item that was introduced in the second ever set of Challenge Leagues — the Nemesis league. Nemesis was a league, and Headhunter Headhunter could only be acquired within Nemesis, and not its softcore counterpart Domination. In this era of Path of Exile, the hardcore and softcore challenge leagues always had separate league mechanics as well as exclusive unique items.

When you kill a Rare enemy with Headhunter Headhunter equipped, you gain for 20 seconds. This is not a mutually exclusive effect, either — you can acquire the mods of — limited only by the 20 second timer. Not only can a player with Headhunter Headhunter deal monstrous damage, but they can move through the Map at completely unparalleled speeds.

Possible Methods of Acquisition

Formerly the Headhunter Headhunter belt was a , but as of

Since Headhunter Headhunter became such a phenomenon in the community, there are now a wide variety of ways to acquire this item, though all of them require either extreme amounts of time or luck, and in most cases both.

Here are the ways of acquiring Headhunter Headhunterwithout the use of Divination Cards:

Here are the ways of acquiring Headhunter Headhunter via Divination Cards:

What are the Best Ways to Acquire Headhunter Headhunter?

After reading through the lists in the section above, you might be thinking that there are a lot of ways of acquiring this legendary item. In truth, however, many of those possibilities occur with such infinitesimal frequency that you would have a better chance of simply stumbling upon a Mirror of Kalandra Mirror of Kalandra on the floor. So what are the most reliable ways of acquiring Headhunter Headhunter?

  1. Unsurprisingly, simply buying a Headhunter Headhunter outright is the easiest and fastest way to get your hands on the item. Farming areas of the game that are not directly related to Headhunter Headhunter, such as the Uber Elder or the Eternal Labyrinth, can be some of the fastest ways to generate currency, which you can eventually use to purchase this fabled item.
  2. Farming The Doctor The Doctor is a popular strategy for Magic Find builds. Specific Atlas strategies are used to allow the farming of ShapedBurial Chambers Map Burial Chambers Map in perpetuity — see our Advanced Atlas and Map Strategies guide for detailed information on how to facilitate this. This is a reliable way of generating profit and will eventually result in a full set with enough time investment. In certain leagues this can be one of the best ways of generating currency, depending on the price of Headhunter Headhunter itself.
  3. Using Orb of Chance Orb of Chances on Leather Belt Leather Belts (or Ancient Orb Ancient Orbs) is actually a fairly legitimate strategy. The cost investment is low and with enough attempts you give yourself a reasonable chance (still not “high”) of stumbling on to Headhunter Headhunter. This strategy is especially prevalent on SSF leagues, as you can bank the Leather Belt Leather Belts over time and then chance many of them in a single map without losing potential profit by wasting time.
  4. Farming The Fiend The Fiend is also a possibility, like The Doctor The Doctor, that results in a guaranteed Headhunter Headhunter. This is less common, however, as Shrine Map Shrine Map is universally considered a slower and more difficult Map to farm, and the set requires even greater cards.

Headhunter Lite

Inspired Learning Inspired Learning is a Unique Jewel that many have come to call Headhunter Lite, or mini-Headhunter. Instead of gaining all the mods of a Rare monster you defeat, one of them is randomly selected and applied to the player.

This is a fantastic gem to use in combination with Headhunter Headhunter as the effect .

Inspired Learning

Inspired Learning Inspired Learning is commonly placed in the location above, as it is a very popular Jewel among Ranger builds in particular and all of these notables are popular and efficient uses of points, but there are six possible sockets where it can be activated.

What Builds Use Headhunter Headhunter Best?

Contrary to popular belief, Headhunter Headhunter is for most builds. In fact, for many builds it does not even outperform a very well rolled Stygian Vise Stygian Vise.

That said, Headhunter Headhunter is a hell of a lot of fun to play with, and players that have the currency to use it will often incorporate it into their end-game builds, even if it harms their overall damage. Stealing the speed aura, in particular, allows you to zip around the map at speeds that make it feel as if you were hacking, and stealing Soul Eater causes your character to grow to leviathan sizes.

There are a variety of builds, however, where Headhunter Headhunter is far and away the best option. Generally speaking, the more of the monster mods your build can actually make use of, the better Headhunter Headhunter is as an item. Ranger builds, in particular, tend to utilize this item more often than others. It comes as no surprise that for boss killing, as there are typically no Rare monsters to steal mods from.

In contrast, it is a far more popular choice for builds that focus on clearing activities, as is arguably the best in the game when it comes to pure clear speed. This in large part due to the speed aura that can be stolen, but some of the damage and defense effects are extremely powerful in their own right. Here are a few examples of builds that work great with Headhunter Headhunter:

These are just a few of the possibilities — there are quite a few builds that make great use of the item, and countless more who incorporate just for fun or as a show of wealth. Totems are the main loser when it comes to Headhunter Headhunter, however, as they cannot gain any of the buffs.

As you might have noticed by this list, Headhunter Headhunter pairs best with builds that rather than bossing.

FAQ

Are There Mods that Headhunter Headhunter Can’t Steal?

The only Rare mods that Headhunter Headhunter cannot procure are the on death mods, such as Fractured, Soul Conduit, and Inner Treasure. These mods have no combat benefits anyways, and only trigger when the Rare monster is defeated. Everything else is fair game for this belt!

How do I Ever Get Enough Currency to Buy a Headhunter Headhunter?

Unfortunately there are no shortcuts to this item, unless you are one of a handful of people in history that plucked one from The Void The Void. For the overwhelming majority of players, the only path to this item is the old-fashioned one: a whole lot of grinding. The sad reality is, if you do not have the time to invest and the determination to farm the currency, it is unlikely you will ever own this belt.

Your best chance to get a Headhunter Headhunter if you are a more casual player is to save every Leather Belt Leather Belt you come across in your stash and chance them. The exact rate — some players have done it in a hundred Orb of Chance Orb of Chances, others have gone over 25,000 without success — is unknown, but if you do this every league you play, you have the most respectable chance you can give yourself of eventually landing on Headhunter Headhunter.

Conclusion

Headhunter Headhunter holds a special place in the Path of Exile community. A large number of players — especially players who have never actually owned or used a Headhunter Headhunter before — attribute inconceivable power to the item, and believe that it will confer near god-level damage unto your exile.

In reality, Headhunter Headhunter is not as massive of a power increase as you might believe, but it is an absolute riot to play with. That said, since Patch 3.7.0 LegionHeadhunter Headhunter is stronger than ever due to the sheer number of Rares released from monoliths, and its price has skyrocketed into the stratosphere.

Soul Eater

When you get your Headhunter Headhunter, expect to move through Maps faster than ever before. This is an item for those who want to go zoom zoom through Maps and enjoy some serious shenanigans (exiles growing to the size of a house while moving at light speed) while doing so.

Good luck on your quest for this legendary unique!

PoE Headhunter Belt Farming, Divination Card, Ancient Orb

Headhunter is one of the most wanted unique items.GGG reduces the drop rate to obtain headhunters, although I think it is only a reaction to balance the growth of possible methods with the recent challenge alliance, and doubt it is not much harder than several Leagues.

In SSF, you can’t expect to get headhunters as reliably as in trade leagues, where you can reduce your goal to “get rich” and buy. The same is true for most “casual” players who “don’t have the currency” to buy headhunters. Of course, you can make the most effective MF build and go all out to make specific maps for the doctor, the fiend or the nurse. You may end up with a headhunter. But it doesn’t really appeal to me. I don’t have the time and energy to complete a whole set of cards, nor the repetitive play of the game. So I’ve made the following list to outline all the possible sources of headhunters, to maximize my chances of getting headhunters, and to choose how much I can come up with to achieve that.

In the following, I list the possible sources and their corresponding activities, which may be what a headhunter needs to do. I understand that dedication is a measure of how much time a person has to spend or how much time can undermine the pursuit of other goals (such as Atlas completion, shaper/elder killing or challenge completion). Through a chance of success, I understand the possibility of having a headhunter with all my strength. So, for example, the more you want to have a headhunter, the more you want to succeed, and the more you want to continue to enjoy all aspects of the game, the less dedication you need.

The following are the farming guides in PoE.

PoE Headhunter Divination Cards

Chance of success: 0 to very high

Dedication: very low to very high

Farm special maps to obtain cards which could yield a Headhunter or cards which could yield cards (which could yield cards which…) which could yield a headhunter

  • 11 x The Fiend = corrupted Headhunter
  • 10 x The Demon = two-implicit corrupted Headhunter
  • 8 x The Valkyrie = random Nemesis item
  • 5 x The Undaunted = random corrupted Nemesis item

  • 10 x Time-Lost Relic = random league-specific item
  • 8 x Arrogance of the Vaal = random two-implicit corrupted item

Orb of Chance: Chancing

Chance of success: high

Dedication: medium, in SSF low

Have many chance orbs and leather belts or orbs of scouring and be in a “Nemesis” map which you can achieve by adding the zana mod “Nemesis” costing chaos

Ancient Orb

Chance of success: low

Dedication: low

Ancient Orb is a currency item that can be used to reforge a unique item as another of the same item class in the broader sense of the term, such as “flask” instead of life/mana/hybrid/utility flask. This will also change the sockets (if any) on the item.

Notably, unique items specific to past temporary leagues, such as Headhunter can be obtained with an Ancient Orb only while standing in a map to which the appropriate league’s mod has been added with Zana’s Map Device.

Temple

Chance of success: low

Dedication: low

There is a room which lets you sacrifice a unique item for another (could be league specific). If tier 3 we can enhance our chances by restricting the pool to belts

Note: You probably do every Incursion anyways. Aiming for the sacrifice room everytime you can would be minimal investment.

Einhar

Chance of success: very low

Dedication: low

Get a bestiary recipe that yields you a random unique or a random unique belt.

Note: I do not know about strategies to target specific recipes (tell me), but you can target Einhar missions and kill all the red beasts you find.

Legion Monoliths

Chance of success: very low

Dedication: low

Kill special legion mobs/chests that drop league specific uniques

Note: Clearing legions effectively is profitable anyways and the current league goal of most, I guess.

Any source for a random divination card

Chance of success: very very low

Dedication: low

You could roll divination card strongboxes and legions are quite a good source for stacked decks

Note: I think this is not worth it without a specific strategy and high dedication. But it may help to keep the possibility in mind

Time-Relic Incubator

Chance of success: low

Dedication: low

get lucky to drop one from legion.

Cameria in Transportation

Chance of success: low

Dedication: low to medium

set up cameria in transportation (higher level=more league specific uniques hence better chances)

Shaper Stronghold’s

Chance of success: very low

Dedication: low

The bosses on those maps can drop league specific items

Headhunter

Mechanics

Upon killing a rare monster, the player gains all of its monster modifiers for the next 20 seconds. You also gain the mods if a Minion, Trap, Mine or Totem kills a rare monster; this is an exception to the usual definition of "you".

The following mods can not be gained by the player:

  • Fractured
  • Inner Treasure
  • Soul Conduit

Effects

Common mods that players can gain from killing rare enemies are listed in the table below. It is possible to gain all of these mods at once, if players can consistently kill rare enemies, therefore, it is possible to activate extreme defensiveness and huge damage boosts. Players will commonly gain mods that grant them a proximity shield, mods that multiply player's energy shield upto 10 times, and mods that grant improve damage and critical strike chance.

While the Headhunter has stolen mods from a slain enemy, it will display the activated mods next to the player's auras. The monster modifiers that Headhunter has stolen sometimes use alternate names, eg "Life Regen Aura" for the VitalityVitality aura, and so on. The table below uses the name displayed on the buff bar.

Note: It is not possible to gain any "negative" mods from enemies such as curses or hexes. Mods gained will always have a positive effect either to improve the player's defense or offensive capability.

The monster modifiers that Headhunter has stolen sometimes use alternate names, eg "Life Regen Aura" for the VitalityAura, Spell, AoE

Seems like Headhunter's price going down by an insane margin in 2.3 patch!

Trust me it won't go down in price. Maybe it's going to be a little more common to see one on the market but it won't make significant change. Volls devotion went up on price up to 30 ex last league and how much did anarchy cost? 3c.

It may cost that mach even tho in leagus people will only pay 10-15 exalts.

Reson whay price may be so high, and its based of my presonal expiriance that card drops curantly are besicly HACKED by GGG. I think common, people farming Dried Lake for perandus and leveling constantly and prices never go down, actualy not many people even sell them becouse they just do not drop. Usualy i finde one per league and this league i farmed like 50x more and not a single card.

HH prices and all abouth it make this game look realy bad, is it rong for people to have some fun with funky looking buffs on them.
Im serious, GGG just abuse that phenomenon and they cleverly introduced HH race just before Perandus where ALL is posible. Evry person in perandus played and put up with that shit they call Perandus monsters just becouse they whanted to WORCK for HH.

HH is realy not worth that mach it just look cool.

Remember those league specific unique like The Harvest and Scold Birdle which cost around 20ex and 12ex respectively have lessen to 1ex and 30c in Standard?
It's all thanks to the Zana map device able to buy the responding league mod for a much cheaper price.

In 2.3, we all able to use Nemesis mod at just 8chaos down from 1ex! If you are still wondering, it's more than 700% decrement and the change going to affect Headhunter's prices by a large margin.
My guess, it'll drop to 20ex each after two months of 2.3 patch. Cheers to all players who always dream to play with Headhunter but never has the wealth to do so!

See the thing is GGG is increasing the rarity of such items as the infamous Headhunter , who knows maybe the price will increase even .

Well, if you chance it, feel free to list it for 20ex. King of flippers will be there in 2sec to snap it up, relist it, and probably laugh his ass off.

its still going to cost you over 100 ex on average to chance it.

It's not the Zana mod that makes it expansive... it's the leather belts + chance orbs or the leather belt + chance orbs/scouring orbs

You don't have to use so many scouring orbs if the map mod is cheaper.

Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

It'll be no doubt that HH will go down in price regardless of flippers intervention, remember the story of flippers on The Harvest? Few people that bought up most of the cheaper Harvests and priced it at 20ex for so long that it became norm where players just price and buy at that price.
However, it comes to a new patch where Torment league for Zana device became 8chaos only, the price of the Harvest is now 1ex after few months lol. Where are those flippers laughers then? They might enjoy the flipping in early league during 2.3 but it won't last long.

Flippers can buy all those cheap HHs and I don't even care, because at the end of the day, all of us will be happy to buy even cheaper Headhunter in the poe.trade. :D So, no worries and light up your mood because Headhunter going to be much more affordable after 2.3 hits.

In case you missed it and if it's not going to change after 2.3 rolls in, there will be 50% more Rare monster in Nemesis mod for only 8chaos. Besides the usual chancing of leather belts which almost everyone does in Nemesis mod, they can now have a higher chance to get Headhunter as a drop too.
Never underestimate the number of people that will use 8 Chaos mod to get 50% more rare monster. It's no longer about chancing as the only legitimate option soon because players in 2.3 will have more chance to get better rate of HH drop in the cheap mod. Couple that with more encouraged chancer due to 8 chaos mod, the price of HH is guaranteed to drop.

We are talking about a mod that used to be 1ex to chance the popular Headhunter and only for that purpose will become only 8 chaos soon + more 50% rare mobs!. Have you grasp the full picture of that? More players will run that mod for 8 chaos as their option for their high tier maps too.

You think people will run an 8c mod for a chance at HH to get it to drop?

You think Voll's Devotion just rain out of the sky when GGG made it 2c to slap onslaught on every single map?
