T-Mobile really wants to get you to purchase brand new LG V20 Android flagship, and it’s tossing all kinds of freebies at customers to get them to bite. T-Mobile today confirmed that the smartphone will have a retail cost of $769.99 for those that choose to purchase it off-contract or you can choose from one of its installments plans.
You can purchase the LG V20 for $49.99 down and $30 per month for 24 months using T-Mobile’s interest-free equipment installment plan. Or if you prefer JUMP! on Demand, you’ll lay out $0 up front and pay $34 per month for 18 months. But here’s where things get interesting; T-Mobile will give you at least $200 if you trade in any working 4G smartphone towards the purchase of an LG V20. The difference between trade-in value and $200 will be paid via an electronic check.
But the “Uncarrier” doesn’t stop there; customers also get a free pair of B&O H3 headphones ($149 value) and a free Android tablet (you can choose between the LG G Pad X 8.0 or G Pad F 8.0) if you sign up for a 24-month agreement.
The LG V20 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560x1540) primary display and a secondary 160x1040 Quantum display for notifications. The smartphone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, microSD slot, 32-bit Quad DAC, dual rear cameras and a 3,200 mAh removable battery. The LG V20 is also one of the first Android smartphones to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled.
T-Mobile says that the LG V20 will be available in retail stores beginning October 28th. In the mean time, you can read the HotHardware review of this hot flagship right here.
LG V20 pre-order on T-Mobile: Here’s how to get one
With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 out of the running, very few Android phones can now claim to be this year’s smartphone darling. One of those is the LG V20, which has pretty much displaced the earlier G5 as LG’s premiere smartphone. Unless you actually dig its modular personality. Earlier this month, the smartphone went on pre-order at AT&T. Now it’s T-Mobile’s turn to dangle the carrot in front of their subscribers, and here’s what you’re getting when you take a bite.
The LG V20 itself is without a doubt a premium flagship smartphone. But unlike the LG G5, it isn’t as adventurous as far as changing the formula goes. It’s all about serious business, especially if said business involves a lot of photos, videos, and audio. While keeping what worked well in the V10, like the second screen, LG hunkered down on the audio capabilities of the V20, introducing features like a 32-bit Quad DAC never before seen in a smartphone.
The LG V20 also boasts of being the first commercial smartphone to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It’s lead, however, isn’t going to be that long, with the Google Pixel’s launch also closing in.
For now, however, LG fans from T-Mobile can avail of the LG V20 in two ways. The normal Equipment Installment Plan will have you paying $30 per month for two years, but with a $49.99 down payment. For JUMP! On Demand customers, there is no up front cash needed but the fees go up to $34 a month for 18 months. Full retail price of the device is $769.99, which, admittedly is quite high.
Pre-orders for the LG V20 start today. But those who prefer walking into stores won’t have to wait long, as the smartphone becomes available from T-Mobile nationwide starting 28th October. All buyers will be eligible to get a free B&O Play H3 headphones for a limited time only.
Also limited is the offer of at least $200 credit, available to customers who trade in any working 4G smartphone for a new LG V20.
LG V20 is so far the best smartphone designed by LG. The device was listed as coming soon on T-Mobile back in September. The wait is now over as the carrier has started taking pre orders for the device. The device costs $769.99 but you can opt for T-Mobile's installment plan where you will have to shell out $50 upfront followed by monthly payments of $30 for 24 months. However if you cancel wireless service the remaining balance on the device becomes due.
T-Mobile is offering a couple of perks to incentivize you to pre order the device. You can get a credit of at least $200 if you give any 4G smartphone in exchange. But the smartphone has to be in good working condition of course. Further you will get B&O BeoPlay H3 headphones priced at $149 for free. To further sweeten the deal, you can also grab an LG G Pad 8.0 or G Pad F 8.0 tablet for free with a two-year finance agreement.
To give you a quick refresher, the LG V20 comes with a 5.7” Quad HD LCD screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. This is the first phone to be running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The entire device is powered by a 3200mAh battery. There is a dual-camera setup on the back with a 16MP lens along with an 8MP wide angle camera. There is also a 5MP wide angle front facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The device is expected to hit the streets on October 26th.
The LG V20 is only ten days away from going on sale from most carriers, and today T-Mobile has announced pre-orders which open up today.
T-Mobile will offer the LG V20 for $30 per month over 24 months with $49.99 down at the time of purchase. That comes out to a full price of $769 with the carrier’s interest-free installment plan.
As for JUMP! on Demand customers, the V20 will be available for $0 down and $34 a month over 18 months. Worth noting is that this price is significantly lower than what we saw on AT&T, where the V20 costs $830 at retail.
Along with this, T-Mobile will also be offering a couple of deals with the V20. The first is a $200 credit, at minimum, when you trade in any working 4G LTE smartphone. Customers who bring a device in for trade will be credited for the value of their device, and if the value is lower T-Mobile will make up the difference and bring that up to $200.
T-Mobile and LG are also offering a free pair of H3 B&O headphones with the purchase of a V20 ─ a $150 value. These headphones should go well with the V20, especially with that built-in 32-bit DAC. To take advantage of that, customers will need to redeem the offer on LG’s website.

T-Mobile begins LG V20 pre-order with free B&O headphones and $200 trade-in credit, touts AWS-3 rollout
By Ryan Whitwam
T-Mobile has started taking orders for the LG V20 today, and it's offering some solid incentives to get you to buy. You can get at least $200 trade-in value for an old phone, and a free pair of B&O Play headphones worth $150. T-Mobile also points out the V20 will be the first phone to take advantage of the carrier's newly launched AWS-3 spectrum.
The V20 is LG's attempt to move past the G5 after that phone's modular accessory ecosystem failed to take off. This phone will cost $770 on T-Mobile. Monthly payments are available at $50 down and $30 per month for 24 months. It's a little cheaper than the Galaxy Note7, which I'm sure some people will be moving from. Trading in any working LTE smartphone gets you $200 or more in credit. The street date for the T-Mobile V20 is October 26th, so expect online orders to ship around then.
With the V20, T-Mobile becomes the first US carrier to deploy AWS-3 (band 66) spectrum. These bands are adjacent to the carrier's existing AWS-1 (band 4) spectrum and will offer additional capacity for LTE data. T-Mobile hasn't said where the new spectrum will be up and running, though.
23W charging, dual coils, and even Google Meet integration

Earlier this month, T-Mobile revealed its release date for the LG V20 - October 28. However, that announcement was not accompanied by any sort of pricing information for the upcoming phablet. That's been rectified today, as the magenta carrier has started taking pre-orders for LG's latest flagship.
The V20's full retail price at T-Mobile is $769.99, the same amount you'd pay for an entry-level iPhone 7 Plus or Google Pixel XL. That's also less than what AT&T is asking for the V20, namely $830.
To help that rather steep pricing go down easier, T-Mobile has a few perks for those who pre-order. First, if you trade in any 4G smartphone in good working order you'll get a credit of at least $200. Second, you get the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 headphones for free with your V20 order (a $149 value). And finally, you can also grab an LG G Pad 8.0 or G Pad F 8.0 tablet for free with a two-year finance agreement - that said, you'll probably need to add a mobile internet subscription for that tablet if you do want it.
The V20 can also be had using T-Mobile's installment plan, of course, in which case you need to shell out $49.99 upfront, followed by 24 monthly payments of $30. As usual with this carrier, if you cancel wireless service the remaining balance on the device becomes due.
